Roy  is a “fan favorite” for his handsome looks and silly personality. He has the cutest prancy focused  heel imaginable! I chose him as my USAR HRD dog because of his strong hunt drive, bold bark, and tendency to climb on the USAR agility equipment on his own. His ability to climb and his precise, careful approach to maneuvering made him very agile on the rubble piles. He is also a methodical searcher and a persistent, unshakeable indicator.

In 2025, Roy sustained an injury that resulted in retirement from his USAR career, though he is still able to compete in obedience and tracking. Roy also has very flashy obedience and has earned his AKC RN, BN, and CD. Because of the need for extensive jumping in the upper levels of obedience, I will not continue trialing him in that venue. 

Roy earned his AKC TD in Fall 2021 and I am hoping to return him to tracking competition to obtain his TDX.

Roy is a very gentle soul but has a powerful tug game that no one is prepared for due to his size and precise nature. He is a serious little thinker when working out a problem, but a silly goof most other times. A son of Baxter Ostraryka IP03 (a worlds competitor) and Dara Meggan Bohemia IPO3, he has inherited the sweet temperament and incredible athleticism of his parents. I am so very thankful and fortunate to have this excellent male as my foundation stud.

Jovi is from my “B” litter (Quita x Roy). Jovi turns heads everywhere with his ground covering, fluid movement and striking coloration. He has a bold head, good bone, and his mom’s drive and sensitivity along with his dad’s silliness and engagement. Jovi is training in tracking and for conformation, though his competition career was delayed by the pandemic and I’m still trying to catch up on everyone’s titles.  In the meantime Jovi and I are having fun playing around with agility and swimming in our river in between training sessions. 

Artuu is another one of a kind dog, from the OG Vetruv x Goose litter, my first litter ever. He was one of the very smallest puppies in the litter, but simply never stopped growing until he almost topped 100lbs. He is absolutely massive with a huge, striking focused heel that catches eyes wherever we go – I titled him in Rally for fun and in the middle of our run I noticed that the entire arena had gone silent as everyone watched him. When I warn people he is a big dog they tend to brush me off until I walk in the room with him – he’s not just muscular, he is TALL. 

Artuu is so much fun to train. He will do anything I ask of him. I had designs on sending him out as a patrol dog but it’s not easy to find a placement for a dog this big that requires expert handling, so he’s staying with me. Unlike most very large dogs, he is very well put together conformationally, though he won’t compete as he’s nearly two inches taller than the disqualification standard (an AKC judge insisted I wicket him because she liked him so much – when the verdict was evident he couldn’t show, she said “breed him anyway. I like him.”). 

Artuu has been trained in narcotics detection, tracking, obedience, and when I have time I work towards competing in IGP with him. He’s next up in the tracking pipeline for competition. 

Heimo is the newest addition to the crew. He is from a breeder in Washington (who is hanging up his breeding hat, or I’d give him a shout out as he did an incredible job raising this litter) with a pedigree very hard to find in the USA. I liked his pedigree so much I arranged to purchase his dam from the breeder as well (coming soon to the “Females” page).  Heimo came to me housetrained at 8 weeks, well socialized, and just the most darling cuddly puppy. He loves children and enjoys being admired at the vet’s office, andn let’s face it, anywhere we go. I am so happy this little guy fell in my lap and I have high hopes for our future together. 

Quita was imported from Belgium at age 2. Quita is exceptionally beautiful; the perfect example of what a Malinois should be and what I hope to produce. So far she has earned her AKC Championship including an Award of Merit at an American Belgian Malinois Club specialty, a BOS at a Supported Entry, Select Bitch at a supported entry, and numerous five-point majors. As of this writing is just a few points from her Grand Championship, having already completed the required majors and champion defeats. She has earned her AKC CDX and is actively trialing in Utility. She has earned a few ‘for fun’ agility titles, and will return to tracking to earn her TDX on top of her TD and FPr1.  At a recent obedience trial, Quita earned many compliments for her engagement and will to please, since her tail never stops wagging and although she can be a typical “creative” Malinois in the ring, she never stops working.  

Liikaa is a one of a kind dog. The strongest detection dog in my kennel and unrivaled in tracking. Liikaa can jump the moon and draws gasps when she runs an agility course (especially from me, as I try to get my breath after running with her). She is so much fun to bikejor with! Currently she is working towards her VST to complete her AKC tracking championship, after which I hope to take her up to Canada to do the same on that side of the border. She is also working on her next agility level as well as applying her detection skills as a working detection dog. Liikaa has exceptional movement, unbelievable athleticism, an unshakeable bond with her human, and an utterly unique personality. I will never have another like her. 

Oria is a powerhouse. With muscle to spare and an unequalled hunt drive, she is the strongest detection dog I’ve ever seen. Her intense sniffing pattern and refusal to quit is really something to see. Her trainability makes her excellent in obedience, with a beautiful focused heel and eagerness to learn something new. She’s not a dog to mess with as she has a serious side. She has earned her AKC TD and CD and is currently competing in Open in obedience, and trialing for her TDX.

She does everything 110%. She goes out on the retrieve just as emphatically as she comes back. For such a stout, strong, high drive, serious dog she almost never requires correction. She’s incredibly handler focused. She is my favorite to work with in obedience.  I’ve been told she probably should be a dual purpose police K9 somewhere, but sorry, I’m too attached! Oria is an accelerant detection dog and is my partner in a special detection dog project (to be revealed later: stay tuned).  I would go anywhere with her; she is readily willing to protect me in any situation.
